Welcome Swallow | Warou (Hirundo neoxena)

The Welcome Swallow, known as Warou in Māori, is a small passerine bird native to Australia and nearby islands, including New Zealand. They are often seen skimming just above the water, very flighty and quick, making them challenging to photograph. These birds often build cup-shaped mud nests on human-made structures and are commonly seen in open areas near water.
