Swamp maire moth (Macarostola miniella) is one of New Zealand’s most vibrant species, featuring pink and yellow or brown and yellow markings. Its only known host plant is the swamp maire (Syzygium maire), a threatened native tree found in New Zealand’s wetland forests.
