๐˜‹๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด spp. – Nursery Web Spiders

New Zealand is home to five species of ๐˜‹๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด spp., with four species present on the mainland and one species restricted to offshore islands, including Rangatira Island, Mangere Island, and Houruakopara Island.


Most ๐˜‹๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด species in New Zealand are associated with aquatic environments. They are typically found near bodies of water such as streams, rivers, lakes, and ponds, where they are active during the night. These spiders often rest on rocks or vegetation.
